Journal of Applied Mathematics,
Statistics and Informatics Editor in Chief: Vladimír Kvasnička
ISSN 1339-0015 (online) EV 30/22/EPP indexed by WoS-ESCI, JCI 0.23 ![]() Submission Procedure
Electronic submissions are required by email jamsi@ucm.sk to JAMSI Editors in Chief. For formatting, the use of LaTeX is highly encouraged. Style files for LaTeX as well as MS Word are available at http://jamsi.fpv.ucm.sk or by email from JAMSI Editors in Chief. All submissions are reviewed and at the first step they will be conditionally accepted or rejected. In next step the rewritten paper according to referee suggestions may be finally accepted for publication. For completeness, please make sure that your manuscript has the following components: source files, printable PDF and/or PostScript file for copyediting, illustrations in any of the following electronics formats: eps, tif, gif, or jpeg. An important aspect of preparing your paper for publication is to provide the proper indexing and retrieval information from the Zentralblatt MATH classification. This is beneficial to you because accurate categorization provides the reader with quick content reference, facilitating the search for related literature, as well as searches for your work and on other online resources. It also ensures correct placement for review. If you are not yet familiar with this scheme, we suggest that you take a look at www.zblmath.fiz-karlsruhe.de. Submission of manuscripts is done with the understanding that the manuscripts are not being simultaneously considered for possible publication elsewhere. Submitted manuscripts should be in English. All articles published in Journal of Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Informatics are published in full open access. In order to provide free access to readers, and to cover the costs of copyediting, typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management, an article processing charge (APC) of 100 Euros (EUR) applies to papers accepted after peer review. (Since April 1, 2022)
Download style files for LaTeX The JAMSI Paper Review Process
When a paper is submitted to the Journal of Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Informatics (JAMSI), it is scanned by the Editor in Chief. If the Editor in Chief finds that the paper is very clearly below the standards of the journal or not in its scope, then the paper is rejected immediately, without written review. The Editor in Chief assigns the paper to two reviewers. The reviewers write detailed reviews of the paper. The peer reviewers do not make the decision to accept or reject papers, but they recommend a decision. Finally, Editor in Chief and editorial board consider the peer reviewers' reports and make the final decision to accept or reject the manuscript for publication. If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the author will receive a letter of acceptance. The editorial board may be interested in accepting a manuscript provided that minor changes are made. In this case, the author receives comments from the reviewers specifying the changes to be made. Editorial boards have the prerogative to reject any manuscript submitted for publication. The JAMSI will forward copies of reviewer comments to the author with the decision letter. Authors who receive rejection letters should be aware that editorial boards are very selective in their decision process to maintain the high editorial quality and citation rate. Editors hope that authors will find the reviewers' comments helpful and will consider using them to revise and submit their manuscript to another journal for publication. Publication ethics and malpractice statement
Journal of Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Informatics upholds the best standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. Authors who submit papers to JAMSI attest that their work is original and unpublished, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. In addition, authors confirm that their paper is their own; that it has not been copied or plagiarized, in whole or in part, from other works; and that they have disclosed actual or potential conflicts of interest with their work or partial benefits associated with it. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work. Plagiarism constitutes unethical scientific behavior and is never acceptable. Reviewers and editors are required to declare any and all potential conflicts of interest. Problems are addressed by the JAMSI Editors in Chief who is committed to providing swift resolutions to disputes. Copyright Policy
